The Bruce Mason Centre is located in the heart of Takapuna with some of the most breath taking views Auckland has to offer. Surrounded by vibrant restaurants, café’s & bars with Takapuna Beachfront on its doorstep. The centre provides a unique combination of Performing Arts, exhibitions, and theatre to the local community.
Unique to the Centre is the ability to convert the auditorium to one of the largest flat-floor, pillar-less banquet areas in Auckland, capable of seating up to 500 guests for plenary sessions, award dinners and gala functions. In this mode the Auditorium regularly hosts the North Harbour Club AIMES Awards, & NAPTA Awards.
The Centre’s technical strength is further testimony to its uniqueness. Featuring up to date technology, the Bruce Mason Centre offers a full range of services from production support to audio-visual and telecommunications support. Van Gent Productions have been working alongside the Bruce Mason Centre in the technical management department since January 2008, offering over 20 years industry experience
The Bruce Mason Centre is more than a performance venue. Supported by an experienced on-site catering team, the conference centre creates the perfect environment for conferences, functions and weddings. With the 1164 seat auditorium, six fully equipped meeting rooms and two spacious foyers, the Centre can cater for numerous events ranging from small board meetings to large corporate conferences, cocktail evenings and lavish weddings.

The Centre’s Playwright Café proudly displays a selection of show posters from past events and hosts the Bruce Mason memorabilia display featuring the famous playwright's original writing desk and typewriter. Designed with an outdoor feel in mind, opening up in summer to make the most of sea air and great beach views. Monthly Art exhibitions in the foyer by local artists add to the ambience the centre provides.
International, national and local artists enjoy performing in our impressive auditorium. A wide range of shows from orchestral concerts to musicals, ballet, opera, dance, children’s shows, theatrical, comedy and popular performers are regularly hosted at the Centre.
