Located on the beach of Napier's famous Marine Parade, the Napier War Memorial Conference Centre offers an all purpose built venue that uniquely combines spectacular outlooks with functional layout. The 4 Star Qualmark facility is fully air conditioned and offers a range of complimentary sized rooms that can be used in combination or on their own. All have been carefully set up with attention to detail that is not only pleasing to the eye but ensures an excellent platform for any function. Choose from an expansive Ballroom, our Exhibition Hall, a Gallery, two well presented conference breakout rooms and a Board Room. Located in the Napier War Memorial Conference Centre's foyer is the extended Memorial Roll of Honour and the Eternal Flame.
Our fine reputation has been built on excellent customer service and a team of experienced and dedicated staff are available to assist you with the planning of your event as well as being there on the day to ensure its success. They are also able to assist you with any additional information in regard to Napier and the surrounding region from accommodation to transport to activities to organising a bouquet of flowers. The facility has a range of audio-visual equipment available to hire with technical assistance by the request.
Oceanview Catering has been contracted to the Napier War Memorial Conference Centre since its opening and have grown with the venue adapting menus and settings to meet the needs of an ever increasing client base. It is often said "we are what we eat" and in Hawke’s Bay we are lucky to have produce that is easily accessible and therefore fresh and it is not unusual that the fish has been caught or vegetables have been picked that day.

The Napier War Memorial Centre is strategically located on the city’s famous Marine Parade neighbouring the many beach side attractions along the Norfolk Pine fringed avenue.

Napier inner city is one of the country's most exciting city centres to explore and is a short five minute stroll from the Napier War Memorial Centre. The inner city layout is compact and in very close proximity to the sea and picturesque seafront walkway. Eclectic water front restaurants, bars and one of the world’s top international golf courses at nearby Cape Kidnappers simply add to the alluring charm of the region.

Art Deco Weekend
The annual Art Deco Weekend held leading into and on the third weekend in February. The festival attracts thousands of visitors to the city as well as the locals joining in the festivities. The entire city is transported back in time with the venue hosting several events over the weekend.

HMSNZ Rotoiti
The first of the new inshore Patrol Vessels HMNZS Rotoiti visited her “home port” for the first time recently with a Mayor’s Welcome Function and Navy Dinner held at the Centre celebrating this auspicious occasion.

Staff Training and Achievements
Staff are encouraged to improve skills and we are fortunate to be able to complete industry related training using ATTTO. Both Megan Bloomfield, our Senior Events Coordinator, and Glenys Fraser, the Manager, have completed their National Diploma in Tourism Conventions and Incentives. Shannan Sims, an Event Coordinator, has completed a Certificate in Tourism and a Certificate in Tourism Conventions and Incentives while Sarah our newest staff member is staring on her Conventions and Incentives Certificate.
