Dunedin Region

When you want to get down to business, get down to Dunedin.

This charming southern city, steeped in history and wrapped around a picturesque harbour is home to our acclaimed education institutions, the University of Otago and Otago Polytechnic, superb heritage venues, top-notch accommodations and restaurants and a range of remarkable natural and cultural attractions. It is perfectly walkable and easy to get around in, so your conference venue, dining options and accommodations can all be within a 10-15 minute walk of each other, our village of learning.

Dunedin offers the widest range of health sciences disciplines in New Zealand making us an ideal location for medical and dental conferences. We are the home to the National Centre for Dentistry and our new $1.47 billion hospital opens in 2025 complete with a professional development unit with simulation spaces for training in the hospital which can be used as part of a conference programme.

If you’d like to experience Dunedin for yourself, we’d be delighted to host you. We’ll ensure you see our key venues and accommodations, connect with our fantastic local suppliers, and leave us knowing that Dunedin will give your delegates an experience they won’t get anywhere else in New Zealand. If you famil with us, you may also want to visit our neighbours Southland, Fiordland, and Queenstown to discover what your delegates can experience if they tour pre or post conferencing in Dunedin.

This famil is open to hosted buyers who have a conference or event of 150 people or more.
