This unique offering includes a unique taste of fresh New Zealand green-shelled mussels poached in a hot mineral pool, along with whole prawns and corn on the cob. Or choose from a selection of indigenous canapés with New Zealand lamb, beef and chicken. Accompanied are relishes, oils and Maori breads infused with traditional herbs and spices with New Zealand beer and sparkling wine.

At the core of Te Puia is the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute where artisans have been nurtured and trained in traditional wood carving, weaving and performing arts and shortly the opening of a Jade and Bone carving school will add to live offerings on display to all visitors.
